I joined LinkedIn several years ago. At first, I looked at it as an alien idea. This is because I live in Africa where internet and computer use is yet to cover any real ground. As such, I did not expect much until I met a long lost friend currently living in Canada through the site. Of course I had no business then and wasn’t selling anything. This friend then introduced me to online marketing. LinkedIn has helped me get in touch with friends as well as professionals who are elsewhere pursuing their own careers but may be interested in my business offers - over the years, I've hired a graphic design agency, a programmer, web designer, artist and salesperson. All I can say is that my experience with LinkedIn has been good. It has helped me connect with almost fifty of my primary, high school and even college peers, people that I grew up with but would never have met again. It has also made my business boom and I pray it lasts for an eternity. |

E-mail marketing is the kind of thing that made me feel one hundred percent sure about the job that I have. It's the kind of work that I like to do, and the best part of it is that I can stay home doing that too, as I get good support for email marketing when I need it too.
My job all starts with a general newsletter. I send it to lots of contacts on my database of emails. Then I track the results, see who has ignored me, see which emails are no longer available and keep updating the database, deleting the old emails and focusing on the most important ones. Then I send another newsletter, but this time it's a more precise newsletter. And I keep repeating the process till I can have a more direct conversation about a product with a client. This is what I love to do, knowing that my company just finished a big deal because of me. |

Marian's mother has been calling her several times, reminding her to be home early. It is her dad's birthday and they are expecting many guests to arrive. Her mom depends on Marian a lot when it comes to entertaining guests. Marian is a natural entertainer. Wherever she is placed, she easily makes the people around her feel comfortable. But since she still had to go over their monthly seo package, Marian told her mom to stop calling her. She goes, I can leave the office earlier if you stop calling me. You are distracting me from what I am doing, mom. Don't worry, I promise to be there before the guests start arriving. Just give me enough time to do what I need to do, okay? Her mom did not call anymore after that and true enough, it did not take long for Marian to accomplish everything. When she got home, she changed her clothes and started to welcome guests who arrived earlier than expected. Her mom on the other hand, kept herself busy in the kitchen. |

Living in the university dormitories was not that bad but I could not wait to move out to my own apartment off campus. The good thing about living on campus is that one is able to make numerous friends that in turn make college life easier and less lonely. I suppose that is why freshmen students are never allowed to live off campus before they finish a year of school. The first time my friends and I wanted to move out and were prohibited because of that rule, we were very annoyed. Our parents agreed too and refused to allow us to move out. In our second year, we moved out just five minutes walk from school and we loved it. We did not encumber any transport problems and even Broadband Internet Problem. This is because the apartments were still at the vicinity of the university and it was a hot spot. So we got free secured high speed internet, that was good life. We ate better food because we all loved cooking and when friends came over they always came with food. |

My brother has apparently fallen in love and because of that I never see him. I would plan to have either lunch or breakfast with him but he would end up canceling because he wanted to spend a lot of time with his girlfriend. I had not problem with him hanging out with his girl but I did not like being stood up by my own brother. He helped me up with a lot of heavy lifting because I lived at the top floor of the apartment but of late I have had to do the heavy lifting myself and trust me when I say it was not pleasant. I leased a condo and asked him of he would help me out and he said he would but moving day he did not show up. So I had to pay movers too and that was something I had not planned for. I was so confused and tired in that I paid for the wrong plan for my internet Dsl and I kept on wondering Why Is My DSL Running Slow? He came over that evening and he apologized and even told me he would refund me the money I paid for the movers. He looked at my current dsl plan and he told me that the reason why it was running slowly was because I paid for the low speed internet instead of the high speed internet. |

It is always wise that you take the simple things in life. It does not matter how you can get them as long as you have made the choice to work less and get more. But then caution is always the first priority since you might think that you are going for the easy things only to come find that you have screwed the most important things to you and i can bet that that is not what you want. People say that my brother is really full of himself and I think not. People are always quick to judge without giving people the chance to actually establish their place in the society. He is a very successful man and so is my whole family. We have all establishes ourselves in the society and not everyone will be happy with that. We own ninety percent of the businesses in the city and there are people who do not like this. We do not run all the businesses but we own majority of the shares.The reason why they are all doing well is because the business has stayed in the family. My brother recently bought a seo company and he brought a lot of money in to the family. This is because very many people preferred is as an online way of marketing. People had retreated in the life of the internet and the only way to join them is to actually reach them by advertising online. The best job I have ever had has been my most recent job. Starting last summer I was hired by a web development company to do web development. I'd worked for a web design directory before so wasn't brand new to this niche. Seeing as I am still in college this has been an awesome internship that has helped to teach me about how the real world works. This job has opened my eyes to requirements analysis, client interactions, design cycles, as well as time crunches in order to get projects open. This job has also helped shape my idea of my future by giving me a taste of what web development is like. I also have the three greatest bosses anyone could ever have. They are all super understanding of my schedule and my drive to learn and have helped pushed me in a way that has helped create a positive and creative learning environment for me as a student intern. Overall, it has been the best job I have ever had because I get to work with computers and people. |

I am very grateful that Facebook exists. I was born and raised in Puerto Rico and moved to New York when I was eight years old. I remember calling my grandmother once or twice a month and sending her pictures maybe once or twice every two to three years. With Facebook, I have been able to share my life with my family every second of the day, and even create wonderful Facebook banners for my profile. I recently became a mother, giving birth to my family's first great grandchild, and my grandparents see her growing each and every day. The fact that I can post videos and pictures of my daughter to share with them is amazing. I also found so many family members that I did not know about, who actually live a few miles from me! Classmates that I thought I'd never see again after graduation, and not to mention never forgetting birthdays, thanks to the reminders. |
