Tiling in the Summer, the Good and the Bad

I love my tiling job. I love the outdoors, and I love the physical nature of my work. I keep myself safe up at height and I always make sure a I wear safety footwear and gloves because some tiles can be rather heavy and I've seen some accidents where a tiler drops some tiles on his feet, and he's fallen off the roof. With my shoes, I can drop tiles on there and barely feel it (I speak from experience!).
Tiling of course is good or bad depending on the weather. I actually love the cooler autumn days and even chilly winter days are survivable because I soon warm up with the physical exertions required to do my job. I hate the hot summers - there's just not getting away from the problem of toiling in the hot sun and hot weather - but being self-employed, I do choose to take on less jobs in the summer.
