Obviously the mayor of your town allows her
emotional feelings to control her mouth and her actions. As an american citizen, she should continue to work for ALL of the people in her town as their duly elected "public servant" and stop discussing the few that she is perturbed with. I think it's certainly time to get a new mayor who doesn't express disapproval with the democratic process of government in which she is supposed to serve. Just vote her out next time, and she will still blame the ones in which she blamed on this video, as she will apparently not take any accountability herself. Hey mayor, just what is wrong with "transparency" if you have nothing to hide? As we say here in Tx....Just boot her out next time around!

Mayor very defensive
Apparently the mayor has taken personal offense at some of the remarks that have been swirling around town, obviously directed at her. While she probably doesn't disagree with publishing the info in principal, sounds like she's trying to block their efforts just to show them who is boss. What a shame. Thanks for posting.
As an observer
Anyone who is on the outside looking in might think the remarks that she found personally offensive...may just be right on the mark I am sad to objectively observe. To attempt to show her constituents (whom voted her into office in the 1st place) who is "Boss", I am afraid willnot go over well with the actual Bosses..lol!. Um, did the commenters above watch the video? The poster characterizes the Mayor's comments as someone who "went into a emotional state of near melt-down." I don't see that at all. I see someone who is stating her opinion. Melt-down? Not even remotely. Seems to me the mis-characterizations in this post are some of what she's talking about and is frustrated by. I can understand that.
Of course we know and expect that the mayor
has her supporters out there. Admittedly it was someone else who saw the vid and said that she went into melt-down, and I agreed with that characterization. My characterization is that she was as "mad as a wet hen".

Just as a curious observer my city has elections for commisioners, then they elect the mayor and vice-mayor amongst themselves.
I have always found that to be strange I was wondering what anyone on here has to say about it and how would you go about changing that as it doesn't seem to be an honest way of running a city.

The mayor in urbana is elected directly by the people.
We do not have a vice mayor but there used to be a city commissioner which was a hired position. Prussing fired the last commissioner and a new one has never been hired.
As for City commissioners
they aren't necessary and would highly suggest that the good people of your town place this job description onto the mayor as this will save the taxpayers substantially. Just an opinion.

Thanks for the feedback, I too think that having just a mayor would save the citizens a lot of money considering we have 6 commisioners counting the mayor and vice mayor whose salaries rose this year to 33000 a piece for a part-time job.They are raising all kinds of fees in the city(ie. parking fees,utilities,and such) instead of cutting some jobs and unneeded services and projects.Any advice on how to bring this up with the city?We are a small city in Florida.Oh by the way they say they have 30 mill for this beautification project and they say no one is putting in any bids to do the work.Sounds fishy to me.Thanks again.

You have to find people who agree with you on key issues. You might not agree on everything. Fortunately, you dont have to, you just need to agree about your key issues and focus on your similarities. You put on hold those things that could rupture your cooperation and fellowship, and show your best side.
